WHKS is providing engineering services for an ongoing stormwater study on campus as part of our involvement with developments at the University of Dubuque. The project encompasses the property owned by the University of Dubuque and the watersheds that drain to the University of Dubuque. The work is being performed in five phases, one phase for each of the main campus drainage areas.
The work includes drainage design and development of a plan to accommodate the increased runoff from various developments in compliance with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and City of Dubuque requirements, using Low Impact Development strategies such as infiltration trenches or bioretention cells. The work includes documented analysis and recommendations in brief drainage reports.
WHKS services included:
- Hydrology evaluation
- Hydraulic analysis
- Drainage reports and drainage map exhibits
- State permitting
