Pilot Inflow/Infiltration Investigations | Rochester, Minnesota

The City of Rochester, Minnesota hired WHKS as part of a multi-firm team to identify and quantify the sources of Inflow/Infiltration (I/I) from public and private sectors that contributed to sanitary sewer basement backups during flooding events that occurred in 2007. WHKS was responsible for field investigations and identification of defects in the sanitary and storm sewer systems. The project has resulted in the development of a collection system rehabilitation and maintenance plan for the Slatterly and Kutzky Park neighborhoods as well as procedures for citywide implementation of the I/I program.
