WHKS assisted the City of Rochester, Minnesota with the development of a comprehensive plan for the cities sanitary sewer capacity.
The comprehensive plan consisted of a high level, strategic planning document to assist the City in making decisions for future investment in the trunk sewer system in support of growth beyond the current system.
The sanitary sewer analysis has produced the following outcomes for each of the City’s six sewer super-districts:
- Establishment of super-sewer district planning rates
- Identification of the need for trunk sewer capacity and condition upgrades
- Estimation of future infill and new development acres that could be served by existing trunk sewers before capacity upgrades are needed within each super district
